XIXth time leather horse - decorative collection object

Elegant prank horse in patinated natural leather, mounted on a rigid frame (probably boiled card). This type of object, very popular at the end of the 19th century, was in libraries, salons or children's rooms, more as a decorative accessory than as a real toy. The realistic anatomy, the details of the harness (calipers, leather reins) and the beautiful patina bear witness to a desired artisanal know-how.
