Magnificent collectible wine taster (or wine taster) in solid silver, a testament to the craftsmanship of Parisian goldsmithing at the beginning of the 19th century.
Decoration: Base adorned with cupules and striations (melon ribs), designed to enhance the color and clarity of the wine by candlelight. Handle: Elegant and ergonomic inverted handle. Condition: Excellent condition, superb period patina.
Hallmark: The Rooster (Paris, 1st standard, 1798-1809), guaranteeing 950/1000 sterling silver. Maker's mark: François-Hubert Boutheroue-Desmarais.
