The coin bears its four regulation hallmarks, remarkably clear:
- Maison Commune: letter “P” (Paris, 1789).
- Charge: Greyhound's head (Jurisdiction of Paris, 1781-1789) on the handle.
- Discharge: Scatterbrain (Paris, 1781-1789) on the handle.
- Goldsmith Master: Initials under a crown with the letter "C" (attributed to a Parisian master, possibly Chéret or Spriman).
