Taste-Vin in silver Lyon 1777

Discover this superb silver Tastevin, a work of a 18th century Lyon goldsmith. Used formerly by winegrowers and wine merchants to appreciate the dress and the limpidity of the wine, this utility object today becomes a beautiful collection element.

The hand -hammered decor, embellished with spiral godrons and a central pearl strip, offers beautiful reflections in light. The handle, in the shape of a heart, is finely engraved with two stylized snakes - an ornamental detail often present in Lyon's goldsmithery of this time.
