- Provenance: Florence, Italy

This travel firm is a rarity on the art market, it was used to transport jewelry or precious objects or private or secret private letters. When it is closed, it has kept its worn out velvet that covers it, which does not allow you to suspect the richness of the inner decor and that was the goal so as not to attract attention. Two draw handles are positioned on each side, the fittings are original and you can notice a studded decor on the top and on the facade. This studded decor can get closer to the weapons of the Medici family. The interior is discovered with 3 drawers, including a simulated with a fine work of ebony and bone veneer in lambrequins on the upper part and on the facade. The drawers on an ebony background and bone are also adorned with hard stones and tapered marble medallions. It is an Italian work, probably Florentin of the 17th century.
