Large silvered copper serving tray decorated with vines – 19th century

- Period: 19th century
- Origin: France
- Dimensions: 77cm x 52cm
- Price: reserved
This large silver-plated metal serving tray on copper, with generous proportions (77 × 52 cm), perfectly illustrates the elegance of 19th-century tableware.
Its undulating rim is beautifully enlivened with a naturalistic decoration of vine leaves, leaves, and bunches of grapes—traditional symbols of conviviality and abundance—finely modeled in relief. The side handles, integrated into the decoration, enhance both the functionality and the overall harmony of the piece.
The base of the tray is entirely hand-engraved, displaying a delicate network of floral scrolls around a central medallion, in a refined decorative style, characteristic of large serving pieces intended for bourgeois tables and receptions.
Both a utilitarian object and a decorative element, this tray naturally finds its place in a classic interior, on a console, a large table or a sideboard.
- Vine decoration, floral scrolls, fine engraving, beautiful antique condition with patina from use
A piece of character, ideal for an elegant setting, or as a decorative object in its own right, reflecting the know-how of 19th century goldsmith workshops.
