This rare Neapolitan mirror of the 19th century (95 x 120 cm) is much more than a simple reflection: it is a real work of art. Its richly painted supervision illustrates major biblical scenes, in particular Moses presenting the tables of the law, the baptism of Christ by Saint John the Baptist and Moses guiding the Hebrews towards the Promised Land .

The floral patterns and birds that adorn the setting bring a living and refined touch, while the finely carved golden wooden pediment seems to represent the idealized vision of the promised land. This exceptional work, typical of the Italian know-how of the 19th century, will seduce collectors and lovers of religious antiques.
