Description

Set of six entremets or dessert knives, made in France in the second half of the 19th century. Each piece has a rounded-tip sterling silver blade and a moulded silver ferrule. The shaped bone handles are decorated with inked heraldry: a shield surmounted by a helmet with lambrequins, charged with a tree beneath a chief bearing three stars. The blades bear the Minerve fineness mark as well as a silversmith’s maker’s mark struck in a lozenge.
